A popular event in cities around the country is moving to Louisville this month and has local food enthusiasts brimming with excitement.  Restaurant Week, a ten day celebration of Louisville cuisine, will feature some of the best restaurants the city has to offer at a discounted price for diners.  The event hopes to get those living in Louisville out for an evening of special dining by offering three course meals at over 30 local restaurants at the special rate of just $50.20 for two people.

The price, a hat tip to the 502 area code, will help entice those who normally might not explore Louisville’s up and coming dining scene to venture into new areas.  Restaurants from the Highlands to St. Matthews to Shelbyville and beyond will be participating, all hoping to gain some new customers by exposing them to some of Louisville’s best chefs working with fine foods from local farms.  The city’s culinary scene has been exploding recently and this ten day event hopes to prove that fine dining has found a new home in Louisville.
